The picture above is of my great great grandparents, John and Mary Stacey, and probably their 4 youngest children.
Their youngest son George was born in 1882 so that would date this photograph mid to late 1880s.
I will start my thoughts with John and Mary who are the maternal branch of my family.

 John Stacey Jnr

John was the 7th son of  my great, great grandparents John and Mary Stacey.  He was born in Whiston, Yorkshire on 18th November 1875 and baptised on 6th February 1876.  I believe that makes him my great grand uncle. I think he is the young man on the left in the photo that is the heading to this blog. These are two later photos of him, the first with his mother Mary Stacey

John Stacey

At the age of 28 John married Clara Eleanor Wiles who was born in 1870, the daughter of a Wesleyan School Master. In  1906 they had a daughter who they named Everill, which was the name of John's older sister.  I don't think they had any more children after Everill.

John and Clara became grandparents in 1926 when their daughter Everill gave birth to a little girl on  7th July, who she named Patricia,

After her marriage to Tom Kelly in 1931 Everill went on to have 5 more children.

On 15th August 1950 John's granddaughter Patricia Stacey married Leslie Bucknell at St Alban's RC church in  Denaby Main. John is pictured here 2nd from the left. The young boy at the front is Everill's youngest child Peter and standing to the left of Patricia is Tom Kelly his father.

John's wife Clara died in 1946 at the age of 77 and John went  on to live to the age of 85, dying in 1961.
